The Neurology Residency Program at Cooper University Health Care is a full ACGME accredited program. We participate in the Match via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

We are a four-year categorical program. We offer 6 categorical positions each year. All 6 positions include the offer of a guaranteed preliminary medicine internship within Cooper University Health Care.

- USMLE step 1/ COMLEX 1
- USMLE step 2/ COMLEX 2 scores at the time of application are helpful but not required
- Letters of Recommendation: 3 letters of recommendation (preferably at least 1 from a neurologist). Recommendation letters should be addressed according to ERAS instructions.
International medical graduates:
- Valid ECFMG certificate
- We only support J1 visas
What to Expect
We begin our interview season in October and end in the middle of January. Applicants are selected to interview based on many factors:
- Letters of recommendation
- General academic performance
- Performance on the USMLE
- Personal qualities and achievements
- Clinical rotations
Program Eligibility
Applicants must be U.S citizens, be classified as resident aliens or hold a J-1 Visa (for non-U.S. citizens, documentation is required). All applications are screened by the selection committee and evaluated holistically. While test scores are helpful; we also give high emphasis on evaluations from letters of recommendation, scholarly and extracurricular activities.
