How to Apply

As you know, the pandemic has created major changes in the interview and match process this current match season. We will be accepting applications for categorical (4 year program; 1 year of preliminary internal medicine and 3 years of neurology) to begin June, 2021. Considering the significant impact the pandemic has had on all facets of life, there will be significant changes in the application & interview and process this match year. We hope you understand this is both to minimize health risks from traveling and to provide all an equitable platform.

In accordance with the American Academy of Neurology, Residency Program Director and Clerkship Director Consensus Statement and the Coalition for Physician Accountability, we are committed to conducting all interviews via an online format. Of course, we are disappointed that we can't meet you or show off our campus to you in-person. Please look out for media on this site to provide you virtual tours of our facilities, our campus and our diverse community! Specific dates and details of the interviews will be made available upon our offer to interview you.

We will be able to first review applications on October 21, 2020. All applications are reviewed through ERAS. We are unable to accept alternative forms of application. Other changes to our process include:

We are only requiring Step I scores. There is no requirement for completion of Step II (CK or CS) in order to receive an interview request.

We are only requiring two letters of recommendation. We understand you are limited in doing away rotations, which will limit your ability to get these letters.

The Neurology Program has no specific minimum requirements for Board scores, grades, graduation year, etc. although we only rank candidates who have passed USMLE or COMLEX CK part I.   We evaluate the merits of each application based on a number of factors, trying to consider which applicant is best suited for a career in Neurology. Due to the competitive nature of our program, our interview slots fill up quickly. We encourage interested candidates to apply as early as possible.

Unfortunately, visas other than J1 can not be accommodated.
