Internal Medicine Residency Program at Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional

Located in beautiful Cape May County, New Jersey, our community-based residency program serves a diverse population in the southernmost region of the state. As a healthcare hub for a historically underserved area, we are dedicated to improving access to high-quality care while providing exceptional training for the next generation of physicians.

As part of the Cooper University Health Care system, our residents benefit from the strengths of both a community hospital and a large academic health system. Through our integration with Cooper's tertiary care center and medical school in Camden, New Jersey, we offer a broad and comprehensive clinical experience that reflects our commitment to serving, healing, and educating.

Our program is grounded in the principles of health equity, high-value care, and patient-centered medicine. We strive to meet the evolving healthcare needs of our community by delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and fostering meaningful therapeutic relationships. The program is approved to train 10 residents per year, welcoming its inaugural class in July 2027. As the residency matures and all three training years are represented, the program will grow to a full complement of 30 residents, creating a vibrant learning community that promotes collaboration, mentorship, and professional development.
