The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Department at Cooper University Health Care's board-certified physiatrists care for patients across the lifespan—from pediatric to geriatric—addressing everything from stroke recovery to spinal cord injury, amputee rehabilitation, musculoskeletal disorders, and neurological conditions.

Using a team-based rehabilitation model, Cooper PM&R integrates physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as advanced interventions such as botulinum toxin injections for spasticity, nerve conduction studies, and electrodiagnostic testing (EMG), to diagnose and treat neuromuscular conditions. Our care is deeply patient-centered: we design goal-driven, individualized rehabilitation plans that balance functional improvements with the patient’s life goals, leveraging assistive devices (e.g., braces, prosthetics), manual therapies, injections, and technological tools to maximize independence.
