The Physician Assistant Residency Program in Neurology at Cooper University Health Care is a 12-month training program designed to provide advanced training in the field of neurology, with exposure to neurosurgery, neuroradiology, neurocritical care, and neuropsychology. Our state-of-the-art hospital provides training facilities for numerous residency programs and medical fellowships. Our department is part of the multidisciplinary, patient-centered Cooper Neurological Institute (CNI), which facilitates a team approach to improving the patients’ experience and outcomes.
Three residents are accepted per year with a rolling admissions start date. Compensation and benefits are offered, including two weeks of vacation, sick days, and holidays.
A combination of evidence-based didactic education and clinical rotations through the various sub-specialties and settings in neurology practice will prepare Physician Assistant residents to graduate from this program with advanced skills in neurologic assessments, diagnoses and management, and procedural skills. A certification will be awarded at the completion of the program through Cooper University Health Care.
