Neurology Rotations

In PGY-3 and PGY-4 years, Neurology Residents at Cooper will rotate through subspecialty experiences in Rehabilitation, Movement Disorders and Neuropathology.

The Neurology program has established affiliations with UMDNJ-New Brunswick for residents to experience more comprehensive training in movement disorders. This rotation will complement experiences at Cooper University Hospital, where there are a large population of patients with various movement disorders. Cooper Neurological Institute currently performs Deep Brain Stimulator placement for movement disorders and there is an active botulinum toxin program that treats many patients with dystonia, spasticity and other movement disorders.

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is the site of a one month rotation in Rehabilitation for our PGY-3 residents. Kessler is a nationally acclaimed spinal cord and brain injury center. Rotating Neurologists will work with some of the most experienced Neurologists and Physiatrists in developing a fundamental knowledge of Neuro-Rehabilitation.
