After spending four years as a hospital corpsman and paramedic in the United States Navy, Dr. Siegel completed his undergraduate training at the University of California, San Diego, in La Jolla, CA. He holds a bachelor of science degree in biology with minors in psychology and organic chemistry. After graduating with top honors from California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, he completed an internship and a foot and ankle surgical residency at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Department of Orthopedics, in Santa Clara, CA. Dr. Siegel acquired advanced training in both pediatric and adult reconstructive surgery, foot and ankle trauma, total ankle replacements, complex diabetic wounds and limb salvage. Additionally, he completed a short fellowship at the Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics at the Ilizarov Institute in Kurgan, Russia. Dr. Siegel has held numerous medical staff appointments including Stanford University, University of California San Francisco School of Medicine and the California College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Siegel is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Board of Wound Care Professionals. Dr. Siegel is among a small group of podiatric physicians to earn board certifications in Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery, Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Siegel comes to Cooper University Health Care in his twenty-first year of practice and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the Temple University of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Siegel is married with four children and his hobbies include all things family oriented, gourmet cooking and eating. However, his biggest passion is bodybuilding and promoting a healthy mental, physical and spiritual lifestyle.
