Program Eligibility

Eligibility for the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship requires a minimum of three years of medical training recognized in the United States, of which at least two years should be a residency in internal medicine. At the time trainees begin their critical care fellowship, they must be ABIM board certified or board eligible in internal medicine. Iniduals accepted for a position in the fellowship program must be U.S. citizen, classified as a resident alien, or hold a J-1 visa.

The Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program participates in ERAS—the Electronic Residency Application Service. Information regarding the ERAS application process and timeline is available on the websites listed below.

We require receipt of the following information in order for your application to be considered:

1. Common application form.
2. Curriculum vitae.
3. Three original letters of recommendation, one of which must be from your current or most recent training director.
4. A statement describing your training goals and future career plans.
5. A copy of your ECFMG certificate if you are a foreign medical graduate.
6. A copy of your USLME scores for Steps 1 and 2, as well as Step 3, if available.

The program director and two additional faculty members will review applicant files. Invitation for interview will be based upon their recommendations.
