Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
A Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist is responsible for using powerful magnets, radio waves and computers to create cross-sectional images of body parts. The technologist must have good computer skills and a sound knowledge of human anatomy.
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging program is a 6-month part-time Didactic course with an optional 4-month Clinical experience segment. To be considered for admission, the applicant must have completed an accredited Radiologic Technology program or other primary imaging program (nuclear medicine, ultrasound). The applicant must also hold ARRT credentials where appropriate.
This program is approved for category I continuing education credit through ASRT.
