Transfer Services
Transfers in general are discouraged because of the individual requirements of the various programs.

Advanced Standing
No advance placement is offered.

Foreign Students
Applicants who have completed their education in a foreign country are required to submit a course-by-course U.S. academic equivalency evaluation. Please contact the World Education Services, P.O. Applicants from non-English speaking countries must submit their TOFEL equivalency scores. In addition, students must be a U.S. resident or possess a current visa. Cooper University Hospital does not support applicants requiring I-20 verification.

Application procedures for all Schools of Allied Health Education at Cooper University Hospital are located in the program material provided in the back of this booklet.

Faculty
Faculty instructors are highly qualified professionals, each having received certification in their respective teaching areas.

Tuition/Fees
Each program requires a $35.00 application fee and a general fee of $100.00, both of which are non-refundable. Tuition for each program is paid on an annual basis.

Admission Requirements

Up to six students may be admitted to the program each September. To be considered for admission, all candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree with a core curriculum to include college biology, chemistry, physics and math; and a GPA of 2.8 or greater.
  • Submit a completed application prior to the March 1st deadline. The application must be accompanied by a $35.00 application fee and a general fee of $100.00, both of which are non-refundable. A personal essay, letters of recommendation, and a personal interview are also required.
  • Be in good physical health without limitations that would compromise performance in the program, and pass a physical examination at Cooper University Hospital prior to admittance.

Student matriculation practices, as well as student and faculty recruitment, are non-discriminatory with respect to race, creed, sex, handicap(s), national origin, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, or veteran’s status.

The School of Cardiovascular Perfusion complies with Fair Practices in Education as established by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.

This program is approved by the State of New Jersey for the training of veterans and eligible persons.

All completed applications and recommendation letters received by March 1 will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Acceptable candidates will be interviewed in April at a mutually convenient time. After the interview process, applicants will be selected for admission by the Admissions Committee. The successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible as new classes begin each September.
